Resolved -
Summary
On February 3, 2026, between 04:15 and 08:31 UTC, some email messages experienced delivery delays when passing through MXGuardian's filtering servers. The issue has been fully resolved.
Impact
During the incident window, a portion of inbound and outbound email connections timed out. Most sending mail servers queued affected messages and successfully delivered them once the issue was resolved. However,
some senders with aggressive retry policies may have generated bounce messages during this period. If you are missing an expected message from this timeframe, we recommend contacting the sender to request they
resend it.
Root Cause
A database configuration change made during routine maintenance caused a compatibility issue with our mail server software. This resulted in intermittent connection failures when processing messages.
Timeline (UTC)
- 04:15 - Issue began following a scheduled maintenance update
- 08:15 - Issue identified and root cause determined
- 08:31 - Fix deployed, normal operations restored
Resolution
We corrected the database access configuration and confirmed that all systems are operating normally.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have questions or experienced issues during this window, please contact our support team.
